Additional driver

When making a reservation, the booker has the option to select an additional driver. By choosing this option, you can add one other person as the driver for the reservation in addition to yourself. It is very important to note that both the booker and the additional driver must have a valid driving license.

Please note that the additional driver is not responsible for the car at any point, even if they are the sole driver of the car. Full responsibility for the car always lies with the person who booked it. The person who booked the car is always fully responsible for ensuring the additional driver’s eligibility to drive and their valid driving rights.

According to our rental terms, only the person who booked the car and the additional driver are allowed to drive our cars. Any violations, or if the car has been driven by an external person, will result in significant additional charges for the booker, as per our service fee list.

Please note that the person who books the car is always the primary driver. The car booker is fully responsible for the car in all circumstances, even if an additional driver operates the vehicle. Only the car booker can modify the booking, purchase additional services, and cancel the reservation.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER

Please note that the additional driver is never responsible for the car under any circumstances. The responsibility always lies with the person who booked the car. The additional driver cannot at any point modify or cancel the booking, or purchase additional services.

When Making a Reservation

If you know in advance that you will need an additional driver for your reservation, you can select the option to add an extra driver when making the reservation. Please note that adding an extra driver is always an additional paid service.

If it is known in advance that the person making the reservation will not be driving the reserved vehicle at all, we recommend that the intended driver makes the reservation for the car themselves.

Before the reservation begins

Prior to the commencement of the reservation, the car renter has the opportunity to modify the reservation, purchase additional services, and cancel the booking. If the renter has forgotten to add an additional driver for the car during the booking process, an additional driver can be purchased through our customer service at the prices listed in our service fee list.

Please note that if an additional driver picks up the car without the presence of the renter, the car renter is responsible for informing the additional driver about the car’s location, pickup procedure, and usage details.

During the reservation

During the reservation, only the primary renter can make changes to the reservation, purchase additional services, or cancel the reservation. The additional driver cannot modify the reservation during the rental period. However, the additional driver can contact our customer service in case of any issues during the rental.

Adding an additional driver during the reservation is possible through our customer service. Please note that adding an additional driver during the rental period is more expensive than doing so at the time of booking.

After the reservation

After the reservation has ended, only the person who made the car reservation can contact our customer service for matters such as post-billing or complaints. Additional drivers do not have access to reservation information and therefore cannot contact our customer service.
